A Boating Guide

Ever wanted to take a canoe trip? Relatively gentle Class 1 & 2 waters? And into real wilderness? The lower White River of Western Colorado & Eastern Utah is a great place to take such a trip. But no river trip is without hazards, so be well prepared. Here's some information to get you started:

Public Access

Eight launch and/or takeout sites which are open to the public. There are others, but these are public & well-used.

Mile Markers

107 points to help you navigate your way down the river. Navigating requires knowing where you are!

Shuttle Routes

Mapped routes from the center of Rangely to each of the public access locations. It's easy to get lost in the desert!
